There is fire at the points but but at the plugs. New wires, distrubutor cap, plugs with gap verified .025. Everything checks good before points. The image provided below is looking at the front end of the carb, the engine would be on the right side of the image if shown. 1 IDLE SPEED SCREW —Located on the throttle lever. 2 IDLE MIXTURE SCREW —Small screw near connection to manfold pointing to the side. When a cyl starts firing by pulling a plug wire and letting fire jump, it's usually because the plug is fouled. Try replacing the plugs with new, properly gapped ones. Check for cracks in the cap, adjust breaker point gap, and check the firing order. Firing order is 1-2-4-3.
