2013 jeep patriot won't start. Jeep started needing a jump a few days ago, I went out and got a new battery as that the most obvious cause of the problem. Still won't start so yesterday took it to a local shop for a diagnostic test. When I picked it up they said the battery, alternator and started were all good an that I have a "ghost problem".There is a fuse box on the passenger side of the jeep, open the passenger fromt door and you will see the door in the dash that is the fuse box. I took Pat North out for a highway spin late in the evening, (our covid19 curfew was just lifted.. whew.) just 25km, and boy was the engine hot when I got back.The ASD Relay is not be energized because pin 85 on the relay is not being switched to ground by the PCM connector C3 Pin 3. If I ground out pin 3 on connector 3 the engine starts and runs fine. No codes. I check the DB/YL wire from the ASD relay to the PCM and the wire is good and has connection. The PCM is not grounding pin 3 on Connector 3.Still no start. I did have a corroded relay pin in the relay box behind drivers side headlight. Replaced that and fixed that... Still no start. Changed battery terminals and tip on the plug that goes on the starter. Still no start. Attached socket to crank bolt the engine turns fine. Still just a single click.Remote Starter Kit.
