The only way to clear it is to bleed the front right brake line. After the bleeding, I can go from 5 to 20 miles w/o a problem. The first sign of trouble is a hard shimmy in the front end and then it locks up.Carb overflow 1997 Prairie 400. I recently picked up a project 400 Prairie. It had been sitting for a long time so I just purchased a new carb and intake and when installed it continuously pours gas out the Overflow tube. I just had the same problem on my Twin Peaks (aka Prairie 700) and it turned out to be the fan switch sensor that is screwed into the side of the radiator. Before you do anything else, you should run 12V directly to the fan to make sure its working properly. Problem is it won't idle. I can turn the idle screw all the way and it is still not high enough rpm to keep running. Must be something I missed, but I can't see it. I went to go out and play in the mud a bit this weekend, and fell thru some ice into a swamp, just over the bottom of the running boards, the quad continued running and never died.
