Also if the mag is empty and I put it back in the gun and pull the bolt back it stays open, But with rounds in there on the last shot it won't stay open. This will happen on the first 10 rounds also, So I am eliminating dirt.I broke probably 3 trigger guards. The original tg's at that time were junk. I finally got one from Marlin that has kept working just fine though. They had to make a new batch or order or whatever. I may have one around. Does anyone know of a speed loader out there for the model 795 .22lr magazines? Either the 10 round oem, or the 25 rnd pro mag? Mag Lula Jr. works very well. For comparison, check out the Savage 62. I picked up one at a Walmart in Sturgis, MI for $99+tax. Basically the same as a Ruger 10/22 or 795. Ten round mag, semi-auto, 22LR, blued metal but synthetic stock (not as pretty as the 795). Let's just say a Savage model 4 from the late 1930's that rode in horse drawn wagons, was beat up by 5 generations of shooters in the family is still going.
