Learning Kirby's standard combos are helpful. If you are lucky, at 0% you can chain. F-throw > U-Air > reverse U-Tilt > B-air. Especially on a character like DK. Sometimes the opponent will catch this (or when they are at higher %s) and will DI away, so you'll only be able to do F-throw to F-air. You'll mainly want to approach DK diagonally ....
