Pf2e champion - Krokkin, Hobgoblin Tyrant Champion, Hellknight of the Order of the Chain. The paladin archetype has been my go-to since 3rd edition D&D. PF2e is probably my favorite system so far. A lot of documentation exists about champions in general, so I will skip that, and focus on something talked about a lot less: Evil champions, and how they play.

So straight up, the Champion focus spells kinda suck. Their primary good point is simply that the expand your focus pool, allowing you to use Lay on Hands more often. For instance Light of Revelation is niche as hell, but useful, and taking the feat gives you a second use of Lay on Hands. Same with the Litany spells.Both champions swapped to 2nd fighter and druid and party dpr, and effectiveness, shot right up. Champion suffers same issue as most martials in pf2e. Fighter exists and is very powerful. Often better just playing fighter. Bizarrely, fighter can get free shield raises at level 12. Afaik, Champion needs to wait until level 20 for that ability.
